Austin Police Chief + APD Says “It Gets Better”

Austin Police Chief It Gets Better Video

In a moving video from the Austin Police Department, Police Chief, Art Acevedo, and Austin’s Police Officers tell Texas youth “It Gets Better.” Releasing the video the week of Austin Pride, the Austin Police Department received a VERY warm welcome from their message in the video while walking in Austin’s Pride Parade. This is an ongoing message LGBT youth need to hear to remind them they are supported during the formative years of their life, which can be some of the most difficult for LGBT youth.

The message of acceptance, tolerance, and diversity in one that should be shared with all – young and old. For it’s diversity that makes cities unique, neighborhoods desirable, classrooms more interesting, and individuals more educated. Help the Austin Police Department get their message out by sharing this page or the “It Gets Better” video with people on Facebook. Take a minute to like the Austin Police Department on Facebook and thank them for taking their time to make this video. It’s important for LGBT youth to hear this message and know they are supported.

Thank you to the Austin Police Department for your dedication to protecting our community, our LGBT youth, and risking your life to make Austin a more safe place!  -GayinAustinTexas.com
